The other day Isaac and I were in CVS buying some stuff, and I was unloading my purchases-to-be onto the counter to pay for them, and I noticed that Isaac had taken a chocolate bar off the shelf and the wrapper was open. I assumed that he had opened it, so I told the girl I would pay for it, and she rang it up with my other stuff and I put it in my bag.

But in retrospect I'm not entirely sure that Isaac did open it. I only had my eyes off him for a moment, and he usually has trouble opening wrappers of that kind. So maybe it was already open. I don't know.

So my question to you is: should I eat it? ;)

Please answer soon, and answer yes, cuz I'm frickin' hungry. ;)

Is it bad that I seriously would consider eating the un-opened end?

Eat it!!!!

I can't imagine why you wouldn't. Though maybe this is just my lack of lunch talking.

I can't see any reason not to. I mean, has there been a spree of people opening chocolate and then poisoning it? No? Then why would someone do it with this one.

Of course, you do live in America, so it's not impossible.

I don't know about a spree, but certainly when I was a kid we were told never to eat any unwrapped candy on Halloween, and our moms were paranoid about checking everything we got in our trick-or-treat bags before we could eat it. There were stories about mean people putting razor blades in Halloween candy. But they might have all been urban legends.

I am kind of a hygiene freak, so take that into consideration when you read my answer:

Sorry, I can't give you a yes. I was never even allowed to eat the things that rolled of my plate and onto our kitchen table, let alone strange candy. However, the idea about gnawing the still-wrapped end seems almost okay to my paranoid upbringing, so I will avert my eyes while you eat the forbidden candy.

I would eat it, but I take risks that way.
