Apr. 11th, 2005 11:53 amBini update: The limp was less pronounced this morning so I decided to give it another day and see how it looks tonight or tomorrow morning. Hopefully he just twisted it or something and it'll heal up on its own.
Saturday night, after sitting down to nurse Isaac to sleep, I discovered that the batteries in my wireless headset were dead, so I couldn't listen to TV. So I went surfing around the channels looking for something with closed-captions that I could watch just to occupy myself. I stumbled upon an episode of a new medical show called "Grey's Anatomy," and got sucked in. I ended up TiVoing the end of it to find out what happened, and after I watched it the next day, I ended up setting the TiVo to record the next two episodes too. *headdesk* Just what I don't need is another show to watch ... ah well, I've TiVo'd stuff and then deleted it unwatched before, so I can do it again.
I wanted to see the end of that ep, though, because there was an interesting subplot about a Chinese woman trying to tell the doctor-in-training something but not being able to speak English. I was curious to see where that would go. (It ended up not being all that interesting, but ah well.) I also needed to see what happened with the woman in a coma after being raped. I missed the beginning of the ep so I didn't catch all the details, but apparently they had found this woman raped and severely beaten and with a penis in her mouth. I guess she bit it off while he was forcing her. They did a little bit of black humor with the doctor-in-training who had to carry the penis around all day because it was evidence. And then of course the guy showed up at the ER, sans penis, so they knew right away that it was him. I had to see how that turned out. Of course, by the end of the ep they still didn't exactly show a resolution, so I hope they come back to that storyline in the next ep, although they might not, if the point of the show is from the doctors' perspective; doctors don't always get to find out what happens once their patients leave the hospital and enter the legal system....
Anyway, I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff so it got me. If the storylines in the next two eps aren't as interesting, I might be able to dump the show. ;)
