Last night I had a dream in which my boss, who in the dream was living (temporarily?) in the apt upstairs, went into Isaac's room to check on him while he was sleeping, and later I discovered that she had tossed a cigarette butt onto the floor. So I went to yell at her for it, and she started telling me how hard she had fought to get me my raise. Just as I was about to explain that that wasn't the point, I woke up.
I'm not sure what that signifies, but I'm sure it's something, uh, significant.
In other news, tonight I got not one but TWO boxes of goodies from The Popcorn Factory. Apparently, my mom ordered something to be delivered on or around my birthday, but it never arrived, so she called to complain and they promised to send it plus a special extra to make up for the mistake. So I got one biiig box of individually-wrapped popcorn balls, and one "tower" -- a series of boxes of different sizes, variously containing jelly beans, honey-roasted nuts, cookies, and various flavors of popcorn. Yum!
Isaac insisted on tasting a jelly bean, so I watched him quite carefully lest he choke, but he didn't, and then asked for more. But I felt that one jelly bean per day was sufficient, especially since it was past his bedtime anyway. We got home pretty late from our nice evening with
ww1614 and non-LJ-having friends -- an evening about which I shall perhaps post more tomorrow. But now, to bed.
