Happy 03/04/05!

First some misc:

Now some random parent squee: I just love to watch Isaac play with something, when he gets really into it and gets this look of deep serious concentration on his face. Like last night we were playing with putting his toy balls into his toy zoo, which has three different compartments, and I was mostly just holding it for him, and watching his face. He has a pretty long attention span for that sort of thing, and he was just totally absorbed in it, learning whatever important spatial/physical concepts he was learning from it. It's just really cool to watch all of that going on with a simple task; and it helps me to not mind the boringness of the repetition. (Also, have I mentioned how cute it is when we arrive at daycare and his little buddies yell "Isaac!" and run over to help me take off his coat? :) )

In closing, let me just say that I am heartily sick of winter weather, and spring should feel free to arrive any old time now, kthxbi.

The Spike icon -- do you remember which show it was from? Not so much the name of it but the plot? It looks like one of the ones where he was tied up -- badly -- so badly that it wouldn't take vampire strength or anything but the tiniest bit of agility to get free. But that's my complaint about most tyings-up I've seen on TV, and I don't even like bondage especially.

It's from "Hush," where Spike is tied up in Xander's basement and Xander says (mouths) to Spike "you did this to me," meaning the loss of voice; and Spike gives Xander the two-finger salute to indicate how stupid that accusation was.
