Friday misc
Feb. 18th, 2005 12:05 pmMy shoulder is a little better but still sore. I now have to turn my head pretty far to the left before it starts hurting, but it still hurts when I turn it just a little to the right. And if I move in certain ways. sigh.
So I got my massage appointment for tomorrow! yay!
Isaac woke up in the middle of the night to nurse again. That's three or four nights in a row now. I hope it's not a new trend. I'm trying to figure out whether it's hunger (and if so, whether that means a growth spurt -- because I have been making an effort to feed him a lot before bed) or teething or something else. I guess waking up once and going back down again easily is better than waking multiple times, or waking once and being hard to get back down ... but still, it's a lot, uh, less good than sleeping through the night like he has been for the last month or two. Funny how quickly you can get spoiled.
I trimmed Isaac's hair a little yesterday. Mainly just over his ears, where it was getting really shaggy. It's amazing how just a couple of little snips can make him look suddenly so much older! He did not at ALL care for having his hair trimmed. I think the noise that the scissors make so close to your ear freaks him out. I had to give up and leave it a little less trimmed than I was planning, because he got so upset. Maybe I'll try again tonight or tomorrow.
You know, I used to be the kind of person who would see a baby and immediately go "aww, so cute!" But ever since Isaac was born, I've become a lot more, ahem, discriminating. Or haughty, or something. ;) Now I see babies and go "ehh, he's okay I guess." LOL. Maybe my standards of cute are just higher or something. ;) I have to say, though, that two babies I've seen pictures of recently -- my friend M's new nephew, and
shelbecat's new daughter -- are exceptions. Those are two very cute babies. Aww.
