recent Isaac cuteness
Feb. 15th, 2005 11:20 amIsaac has learned the concept of "two." He knows that he has two hands, two feet, two shoes, etc. Of course, if you ask, he'll also tell you that he has two noses, so he's a little unclear on the concept of any number OTHER than two, LOL. But still, it's a start. This morning he was playing with his matchbox cars and told me "two cars." Then we were driving to daycare and he pointed out "two bus."
Also, the other night he discovered his belly button. I keep telling him he has one, but I'm not sure he believed me, because his belly is so big he can't actually see it. But the other night he was sitting on the changing table naked except for his diaper, and he started pushing his belly down with his hands so he could see his belly button. He was delighted. He kept putting his finger in it and saying belly button ("beh-buh") and craning his neck downward trying to see it. LOL.
He has also just learned the concept of "little" and will keep up a running commentary during our drives: "Little car. Big car! Little car. Big big truck!!!" The way he says the word "little" is so funny, although I'm not sure I can convey it in writing. The closest I can get is "ill-yill" or "yill-yill." He now sometimes refers to himself as "little boy," as I mentioned in a recent entry. And I guess recently I must have asked him if he wanted "a little boob" (we've always used "boob" to mean nursing) because, whereas he used to ask for nursing as "boo? boo peez?" he now says, "little boo?" It cracks me up. It's so, like, "Come on mom, just a liiiittle boob?"
And in conclusion, here are two recent pictures of Isaac doing his "Oh for goodness's sake, not ANOTHER picture!" face. ;)

And a random playing on the bed picture just for fun.
