(no subject)

Well, while my mom had Isaac, I took a weird sort of nap, the kind where you lie there thinking "I'll never get to sleep" and then doze and keep waking up thinking "did I sleep for hours?" and the clock is all, "dude, it's only been ten minutes," and you're like, "well shit." But eventually you do fall asleep, and I probably napped close to two hours. I felt better when I woke up, but groggy, and it took me a while to bring my brain back up to speed.

So I ate a little and went to retrieve Isaac, then picked up anotherjen and her daughter, and we went to the Hot Foods party chez roozle and sunspiral. It was fun, but soooooo crowded, and so warm inside the house because of all the bodies. Isaac enjoyed running around between/through/under the people, and we both partook of some of the not-so-spicy food (and much of the dessert ;) ), and did a bit of socializing, and the next thing I knew it was 7:30 and Isaac was rubbing his eyes like crazy. Jen was ready to go too so we packed up and went. Got home at 8:30, realized Isaac had really just nibbled, tried to get him to eat more with limited success. He didn't get to bed till past 10, sigh. Bad mama! Here's hoping he'll sleep well (and long).

I think tomorrow we're going to have to brave the grocery store; we're out of a few absolute essentials like applesauce and toilet paper. (well, not totally out of toilet paper, but close)

I need to go shopping too; if you think bringing me and Ilana along would be more fun than more trouble, let me know. Also, Ilana went to bed late too.
