Cute Isaac stuff
Feb. 3rd, 2005 10:49 pmI know my posts have been mostly snarky/whiny/unhappy lately, so here's a little brightener. Some cute things Isaac has done lately.
He's loving the "I'm gonna getcha" game. I just say it and he starts running away, shrieking with laughter. He waves his hands in the air as he runs which is just sooo funny. Then I grab him and yell "Gotcha!", and he screams and I toss him up in the air and smooch him. And now, lately, he says "more da-da!" which is the closest to "more gotcha" that he can manage. He immediately wants to be put down so we can start all over again. :)
It's funny to me how he says "more ____" and if he doesn't know the name of the thing he wants more of, he tries to make it up. On most of his books he has a favorite page, and when we finish the book he'll ask to turn back to it. On Are You My Mother? his favorite is the page where the baby bird falls out of the nest and falls down, down, down, plop! So he says "more down down?" (It's also funny to me how everything he says has a rising inflection like it's a question.)
So tonight we were getting ready for bed, and I always undress him and then play kissy games on his belly, because it's so round and cute and enticing. So I did my usual "gonna kiss it gonna kiss it gonna kiss it," which always makes him laugh. And then I zrbrt'd him, and he was just laughing so hard, and he had both his hands on my face pushing me away, and I was kissing his hands and laughing and he was laughing, it was good times.
And then he said "more" and made a raspberry noise! It was his way of saying more zrbrts! LOL! What a smart boy! <3 <3 <3
In other adorable news, Isaac's latest words are sneeze, yawn, and (I'm pretty sure today he said) cough. And just yesterday he started saying "wa-da" for water instead of his previous "wa." I got so used to his one-syllable version, now it sounds really funny to hear him enunciate it so carefully. :) And I continue to be amused/fascinated by the way he says his name: "zah-zih." It's just sooooo cute. :)
OK, that oughta hold ya for a while. Tomorrow morning first thing, back to the snark! ;)
