mommy loves me, yes she do
Feb. 2nd, 2005 11:51 amAbout once a week my mom goes to our favorite bagel bakery and gets a dozen or more bagels for the two of us (we each eat a bagel for breakfast just about every morning, so that's a lot of bagels) and cream cheese for me. I can't eat any other cream cheese now, because theirs is just soooo good. Anyway, usually she goes on a Thursday and then I can get my bagels and cream cheese when I pick up Isaac from her at the end of the day; or she goes on a Friday or Sunday and I can get them on the weekend. But this week she went on Monday, and because of all the parking drama I haven't wanted to swing by her house after work. (When I do that, I always end up staying pretty late, and lately I've wanted to go right home because it seems like the parking gets harder as it gets later in the evening.)
So, this morning I went by her place before work to get my bagels. It was a bit ugly, because of rush-hour traffic which I hadn't anticipated because I never go that way on weekday mornings. But we got there, and she was standing at the end of her street waiting for me. AND, in the bag with my bagels and cream cheese, she had put a brand-new box of our favorite, fairly expensive and hard to find in the US, British tea! PG Tips!* Which I never buy but always "borrow" from her and every time I go to her house, it seems like, I say "waah, I'm out of PG Tips, poor widdle me" and she lets me take a few teabags. Now I have my very own entire box! yay!!! <3
* And now all the Brits who read this are laughing incredulously at the idea of PG Tips being something so coveted. But it is! In comparison to most American tea it's super-strong and flavorful!
