Yesterday (Sunday), when I woke up at 6:30, I looked at the clock and thought, "oops, I forgot to set the alarm, I better do it now in case I drift off again." (Normally on workdays the alarm goes off at 6:50.) I had my hand on the button to turn it on when suddenly I thought, "wait a minute, is today Sunday??" D'oh!
So this morning I was driving to work and thought, "hmm, the traffic is pretty light today," and then I had an awful moment of thinking that *today* was Sunday and I had gotten us up and dressed and out and almost all the way to daycare/office, all for naught. LOL. That, uh, would have sucked.
A few minutes ago the lights in my office went out. Bizarrely, however, my computer stayed on. Now, power outages we do have here on occasion, but just the lights going out? That was weird, yo. I stepped out into the hall, and found that it wasn't just me -- all the offices on this corridor were in the same boat.
Our office manager was passing by and said she would go call building management, and a few minutes later the lights came back on. Good thing too. I can't work in the dark; the computer screen glare gives me such a headache.
