One Hundred and counting!
Jan. 27th, 2005 08:44 amI have been keeping a list of the words that Isaac knows ( = can say reliably in the correct context) and the other day I alphabetized the list for ease of checking "did I remember that one?" and adding new ones. Yes, I am a geek, what's your point? All day long as we're going about our business he says stuff and I'm like, "is that one on the list?" and making mental notes to go and check.
ANYway, so today I just added a few more that I had forgotten, and the list is up to 100 words. Woo! My little chatterbox. (Edit: In the middle of writing this post I had to go change his diaper, and while we were doing that I thought of three more words! So we're up to 103. :) )
Isaac's latest words are tower ("tow-wow-wow-wow-wer") and cereal ("ceree-eree-eree"). Also last night during his bath he started saying "sploosh," which is what I always say when I splash him, but I didn't put that on the list yet because it could have been a situational thing.
Just thought I'd do a pleasant post after all the whining and griping I've been doing lately. BTW, things didn't go exactly as planned last night -- ended up skipping the nap idea entirely -- but he did eventually get that bath, and went to sleep around 7. Then woke up half an hour later. I got him back down, and then he was up again another ten minutes later. Nursed him back down that time, got him back to sleep around 8:30ish, and he slept through till 7:00a.m., so things are looking up this morning. Now we just have to figure out how to get him over to grandma's house (I suspect it's going to involve me digging out my car again, marking my space again, and navigating the snowy streets)....
