Snow days suck!
Jan. 26th, 2005 03:07 pmUgh! It has been a frustrating day. Isaac is being really difficult today. I don't think he's feeling well, for one thing. His nose is very runny and he's fussy and clingy. He wouldn't eat for the first couple of hours after we got up; then he scarfed a bunch of food, including a bowl and a half of applesauce that I realized, partway through the second bowlful, smelled bad. To be specific, it smelled fermented. Augh! I just got my kid drunk on apple cider!
A little while later he nursed a whole lot and then threw up. Whether from too much nursing or from the applesauce or general illness, who knows. He seemed fine afterward, apart from the icky smell of his clothes. I tossed the clothes in the wash and we carried on.
But it's 3:00 and he refuses to nap. He's very tired, even fell asleep nursing, but won't nap. Maybe he's hung over? Augh! That's not funny!
I think I'm going to try giving him a bath. He needs one anyway and it usually tires him out. I really gotta get him to nap even if only for an hour or so -- I need the break!
My shoulders and back are SO tense. They've been getting worse for the last couple of weeks and with the snow, shoveling, precarious driving, and now Isaac wanting to be carried around all day, it's a mess back there. I so have to find me a new chiropractor and start going. I can't make those muscles relax even when I pause and focus on them and consciously release them. They relax a little, but still feel really tight. waah! I need a massage!
OK, time to gird my loins for that bath thing.
