Here's the capsule summary of my weekend:

Friday: V. busy at work. Not even any time to check LJ all day.
Saturday: Drove [livejournal.com profile] mattlistener to Goodwill along with many large bags of clothes leftover from last week's clothing swap. Spent Sat night at my mom's house.
Sunday: Saw "The Incredibles" with [livejournal.com profile] anotherjen. My first movie in the theater in over a year!

Today, as previously mentioned, I have the day off work. My plan was to take Isaac to daycare and have the day to myself; but throughout the weekend there were dire predictions of a big snowstorm last night, dumping up to 8 inches (depending which weather report you listened to) by morning. So I was prepared for the possibility that I'd wake up and look outside and go, "Forget it, I'm not driving in that." In which case I would be sad to lose my "me day," but would at least have been glad for not having to feel guilty about ditching work. ;)

However, I woke up this morning and there was barely an inch of snow. Well, maybe two in some areas; hard to be sure because it's the light powdery stuff that blows around a lot. Anyway, it was nothin' to be concerned about, so I got us packed up and out the door. Isaac woke up a bit earlier than usual, so we actually got to daycare around the time that we usually leave home ;) and I got home around the time we usually arrive at daycare, namely about 9:30.

So now I do have the day to myself. Yay!! It's still cold and slightly snowy outside, so I have yet to decide whether I'm going to go out and actually accomplish stuff or just stay in and be lazy all day. (Or, I suppose, stay in and accomplish stuff....) So far I have: played computer games, surfed the web, had breakfast, and watched about 3/4 of the first "Queer Eye for the Straight Girl." (It's not doing much for me so far, but I feel obligated to finish the episode before I pass judgment.) Whee!

I took my 4-year-old to see The Incredibles, which was my first movie in a theater since before he was born. When the baby!Incredible was screaming at the end, I had a minor breastmilk letdown and I ached horribly for the 45 minutes it took me to get home to my 1-year-old nursling. The movie itself was a little disappointing, but at least I was able to sneak in my bag of organic popcorn (and then dump a box of Hot Tamales in it).
