Dec. 15th, 2004 04:25 pmAnother bad night last night. Whatever. *roll eyes*
I forgot to mention in my "things I want meme" post that one thing I really, really, really want but can't seem to justify buying for myself is this t-shirt. Snif. I've been lusting after that shirt for like a million years. I should just break down and buy it for myself already.
Very cold today. I broke out my winter coat, sigh. Then I was reminded of why I never carry a purse during the winter -- it never stays on that big shoulder. I need to ditch the purse and just start carrying stuff in the coat pockets. But then, it's supposed to get back up to the 40s tomorrow so maybe I'll be back to my late-fall coat, which has sucky pockets. We shall see.
It was so cold this morning I decided to put a scarf on Isaac. He hated it, but he looked so cute in his big jacket, scarf, and aviator-style hat. I wished I had the camera handy. Drat. I have yet to figure out how to get mittens to stay on his hands, unfortunately. I think we need other mittens, with velcro or something to hold them on. When we're in the car and he takes off his mittens or hat, he says "no no" which tells me that the daycare people are trying to teach him not to take them off ;) but obviously it isn't working too well. ;) He understands "no no," he just doesn't bother to obey. ;)
I was all mad at myself thinking that my credit-card bill was due yesterday and I forgot to pay it so I was going to be hit with that stupid $30 late fee plus interest. But I went online to check and it turns out that, although it WAS due yesterday, I paid it two weeks ago. LOL! Go me! :) Speaking of finances, as the end of the year approaches I'm getting all excited about tax time. Between buying the house, having the kid in daycare, and donating the old car to charity, I'm expecting to get a nice fat refund. Yay. :)
In office news, it's that time of year -- the time when every single company we do business with starts sending us goodie baskets/boxes. Chocolate, mostly, and also other delicious junk like caramel corn and cookies and such. (One company sends grapefruit, just to be different, and alas I could have used the vitamin-C but it arrived on Monday when I was out sick. Murphy's Law.) Today there was an assortment containing chocolate-covered almonds and raspberries, caramel popcorn, malted milk balls with some sort of minty coating, and OMG the best toffee ever. *Drool* It was so good. And my office faces right onto the kitchen, so all that yummy stuff is right there in front of me. Augh! :)
Isaac has his 18-month checkup tomorrow and I'm all excited to hear what his stats are now. :) And yeah, I'm still supposedly working on that post about all his milestones/achievements/abilities of late....
