When we left our intrepid heroine, she was anxiously waiting for her child to awake from his nap in hopes of catching at least a little bit of the chorus concert.

Well, after going down at 2:15, Isaac woke up at 4:45, his standard 2.5-hour nap. He was super-cranky upon awaking. :( I nursed him, but he didn't un-crankify, so I just threw up my hands, then bundled us into our coats and took us off. I redeemed myself by making a bus appear ;) and we got onto it, which excited and mystified him. (He is totally obsessed with buses these days.) I was sure the concert would be over, but we actually got there in time to hear the "Amen" (i.e., the last five minutes) and Isaac even sat still for it on my lap (he was still kind of dazed from all the action LOL).

Then we did the whole milling around and talking about how great the concert was, and went to the after-concert party, where I sat around feeling all weak and lame, and ate a lot in hopes of reviving, but didn't revive. Then we went back to mom's place, gathered up our stuff, went home and to bed.

Then we had another in a long succession of bad nights, so the next day, Monday (yesterday) I decided to take a sick day. I drove Isaac to daycare, went home and back to bed. I slept a bit, did some laundry, sat around like a lump. My mom picked Isaac up and brought him home. We had a somewhat better night last night, and here I am. Whee.

And then this morning on the way to work I noticed what appeared to be a new Indian restaurant right near the office. Score! I wonder if my stomach is up to it yet? I had ice cream yesterday and that went down fine ... hmm.

In Red Sox news, [livejournal.com profile] maggiesox says everything I would say about the loss of Pedro Martinez to the NY Mets. And, uh, that's all I have to say about that. *g*
