I'm buying a car!

mamajoanThe seller and I agreed on $5700. It's his original asking price of $6500 minus the $800 that my mechanic said it would cost to replace a clutch. Yay! I am happy with this resolution. It's right in the range I was hoping to pay (even with the clutch replacement -- assuming nothing goes wrong to make it cost a lot more than $800, *knock wood*) and it's a good car, and plus, I'm just ready to have the whole thing done with! Especially since they're predicting snow pretty soon and I had really wanted to NOT be driving my current car any more by the time the snow flew. So yay for that.
Now I just have to figure out how to get a money order for the seller, and what paperwork I need to do for insurance and registration and so forth. And call the donation people to come and haul away my old car. And, oh shit! -- that means I have to clean out my old car! Augh! I guess I know how I'll be spending this weekend....
