mamajoanWow, um, wow. What a day! I can't concentrate on anything. LOL. I call it a baseball hangover. You don't have to drink any alcohol to get it, and it's MUCH more satisfying.
I'm working from home today, which is good because I got to sleep in a little, but also a little sad because it would be fun to be at the office. I bet the mood is pretty cheerful in there. I've already been exchanging excited emails with coworkers.
My mom was downtown for an appointment before she came to get Isaac, and she called me to say that "I don't know what I was thinking, but..." on a whim she decided to go over to Fenway to buy t-shirts. Of course it was a mob scene over there. They were even showing it on the news, the pandemonium in the souvenir shop -- I watched closely in case I spotted mom. :) Anyway, she got us each an official American League Champion t-shirt, and I shall wear mine to the office tomorrow. :)
Isaac slept in his Red Sox onesie and his red socks. This morning I did change him into his other Red Sox onesie, but I left his red socks on. :) I still have my red socks on too. Woo!
Of course, tainting my joy today is the sad, sad news that Dave Barry is taking an indefinite leave of absence from writing his column. Waaah!!!! What will I do without my weekly Dave fix? :( Snif.
