my little guy
Oct. 20th, 2004 03:47 pmI updated Isaac's website -- finally uploaded the pages for July, August, and September. Whew! I had fallen pretty far behind! Anyway, a lot of the pix are ones that I already posted here, but probably not all of 'em.
Two years ago when I was pregnant, I went to Japan on tour with my chorus, and there I bought two baby-sized kimonos. Last night I tried them on Isaac to see whether one of them might make a good Halloween costume for him this year.

This one didn't seem right somehow. I'm not sure whether it's supposed to be tied with a sash, or supposed to have something under it. Also, he wouldn't sit still for a good picture of it. ;) I put it on over his jeans just out of sheer laziness.

This one looked better. I think it's too small, because I think it's supposed to be pants-length and long-sleeved, rather than shorts-length and short-sleeved, but it still looks pretty cute. :)
Also, this morning I took some pix of him wearing his new shoes. I'm not sure whether you can really see the shoes very well to tell how cute they are, but here they are.

This is a terrible picture of him (weird angle, red-eye makes him look evil ;) ) but I include it because it's the best shot I got of the shoes.

My big grown-up boy in his big grown-up shoes!!
Anyway, even if you can't make out the shoes well enough, there's my adorable boy. :) Oh, and in case you're wondering, the shoes are on the Stride Rite website: this model, in the brown ("dark chocolate") color.
And since I'm pic-spamming anyway, here, have a picture of Isaac multitasking again. LOL.

With balls in both hands and a Triscuit in his mouth, a boy is good to go! :)

Date: 2004-10-20 01:58 pm (UTC)Yes, the kimono (first picture) is supposed to be sashed (left lapel over right). In terms of layers, it could be worn alone, as one of several layers of kimonos, or with a hakama (those cook pleated maxi-skort things).
The second one is supposed to be sleeve and leg of some tweeny lenght... just like they are. Both are fabulous.
Now picturing Isaac learning to fold his arm inside the sleeve and do the Toshiro Mifuni chin-scrath through the neckline. *hee*
