shoes update

mamajoanFinally got Isaac his first pair of real shoes today. Found a really nice kids' shoe store where they measure the feet and fit the exact right shoe. So I feel good that the shoe will fit (ha, ha) but still ambivalent about the whole shoe-wearing thing overall. I plan to tell the daycare people only to put the shoes on him when they go outside, at least at first.
The experience was sucky otherwise; Isaac was cranky and tired, he fell several times and bumped his head and the reaction from the other moms in the store made me feel like a terrible mom, sigh. Plus he screamed and cried and struggled when we were putting the shoes on him. I'm sure he'll be fine once he gets used to them (and isn't awake past naptime). I really need to learn to start planning my day around his naps.
More later, the game is on and I can't pause it because the TiVo is recording Farscape!
