I'm well aware that I'm overreacting here ;) but I hate it that you can tell a car salesperson "I'm looking to spend between $5000 and $8000" and they immediately offer you a car that costs $11,000. I mean seriously, wtf? So I emailed her back and said that I found it "disrespectful" and that $8000 is my ABSOLUTE maximum and she should feel free to let me know if she has anything in that range. The subtext being, otherwise she can get bent. ;P

In other news, a very excited "welcome to LJ" to techn0goddess, one of my favorite people in the whole world! <3

And in Isaac news, the sleeping situation continues to be erratic and difficult. *sigh* We sooooo would not have survived yesterday without gramma's intervention.Today, maybe. But Isaac also hasn't been eating much and I'm thinking this might just be his teething pattern: a couple nights of really restless sleeping, a couple days of refusing to eat. I hope that's what it is, that and the remnants of this cold he's been fighting. I hope he'll be okay in the morning so I won't have to feel guilty about taking him to daycare and then going off to enjoy my holiday.

Oh, and in closing, may I just say that I am really not enjoying the repeated references online to Bush's "bulge." I know it doesn't refer to "that," but still, can we just not go there?

Perhaps the car salesperson is implying that you can get a $3000 discount on the $11,000 car? :) Or, even if that wasn't it, act as if it is and tell her you love the $11,000 car and will be happy to take it off her hands for $8000, your stated maximum. :)

LOL. I should have done that! But I just sent her a semi-snarky email reiterating my price range, and we'll see whether she ever deigns to reply. ;)
