I forgot to mention that I got Isaac a gmail account. I had all these invites sitting around that I didn't know what to do with. Now I just have to try to remember to log in periodically to keep it active. And maybe some day he can actually use it! Hmm, should I get him a livejournal too?

_nepthys_ had a great idea for using a gmail account as sort of a file server for mp3s/vids/episodes/etc. -- I'm thinking it would work as a fanfic archive too. People could "upload" their stories simply by emailing them to the address, and could read the stories by logging in. Of course, I'm not really involved with fandom any more so I'm not actually going to set that up, but if anyone wants to do it, I'll donate an invite to the cause.

With a public password, you would have to trust that people wouldn't do random trollish things like delete your posts?

Yeah, you'd have to make sure you only gave the info to people who could be trusted. Well, there are some flaws in the idea, okay.

heh, well I'm not sure "user" is quite accurate just yet. Although I could let him bang on the keyboard and post the results.... :)
