Sep. 13th, 2004 11:04 amWhat a weekend! Ugh. I started to type out the whole summary but realized it was just boring and no one gives a shit. So I'll sum it up thusly: Isaac hasn't been sleeping well and it's frustrating. I think he had a bit of the cold that I had, as well, which might have contributed. It's so hard to know what to do when he's clearly tired and hungry, but refuses to eat or sleep!
Also, I feel like the meanest ogre of a mommy when I have to wake him up in the morning to go to daycare/work. He's clearly so tired and I just hate to wake him. And then he's all cheery and somehow that makes me feel more guilty! I am a mess.
Chorus rehearsals start tonight and our regular babysitter Sally will be watching Isaac. I hope she'll be able to get him to sleep. For that matter, I hope he'll have a good day at daycare today and take good naps and eat good meals. I really feel like he eats better for other people than for me, but maybe I'm just paranoid. He seems to be pulling at his ears a lot too, which could be a teething thing (he definitely has another tooth or two coming in) or could be an ear infection. His 15-month checkup is on Friday so I have to decide whether I think it can wait till then or whether to try to get him in earlier.
Driving to work this morning I had an epiphany, to wit: Isaac has the most adorable hands ever. Naturally I think every part of him is adorable, but in particular I focus on his hands, which I just think are perfect and beautiful. I don't know what it is. I just love to look at them, and smooch them, although he doesn't much care for the latter.
In totally unrelated news, here's a fun meme:
