The new CDC guidelines for HIV prevention involve promoting abstinence-only programs for "sex education," and censoring any materials that suggest condom use is effective. Any educational material that is deemed obscene by a panel of political appointees can be banned.

It's not too late to stop this unbelievably dangerous policy change from taking effect. Go here to submit your comments to the CDC. You have until August 16th.

Sometimes I find myself slipping back into complacency/apathy regarding the current administration's level of evil, and then something like THIS comes along. Holy fucking shit. These people must be STOPPED!!

A major reason condoms fail is that people don't use them correctly. So of course, piously intoning that condoms aren't 100% effective while refusing to teach people to use them correctly is perfectly reasonable.
