Most of the baby/toddler toys that play music tend to play the same set of common nursery rhymes: Row Row Row Your Boat, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, A Bicycle Built for Two, London Bridge is Falling Down, etc. So you tend to get used to hearing them over and over in that weird electronic tone.

Imagine my surprise, then, the other day when one of Isaac's toys suddenly burst into Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries." LOL!

What toy was it? I want one!

For many years now I've been collecting children's versions of adult books and stories, and a few years back I got a book which is essentially, Baby's First Niebelungenlied, although I think the actual name is something like Seigfried (forgive my no dobt terrible spelling back there).

LOL. It's a walker, and I can't actually find it online although this is pretty close. The part with all the buttons and stuff detaches, and I have it rigged up in the car so he can play with it while he's in the carseat. I think my version is probably the older, discontinued model, because I got it from [livejournal.com profile] ww1614 and her son is a year older than Isaac. So it's probably at least a year or two old, which is ancient in toy time. ;)
