mamajoanWow, I've been AWOL for a while, eh? So much going on! Here are the highlights...
* Went to Red Sox game with mom on Isaac's birthday; left Isaac home with friend who had no baby experience. All went fine *whew*
* Took Isaac to Gay Pride parade along with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
watercolorblue and anotherjen and her daughter. Isaac did not enjoy it. :( Too loud, chaotic, crowded, loud, and did I mention loud?
* Isaac's 1-year doctor checkup v. traumatic. Cranky, hated having ears looked in, screamed bloody murder when he got shots. :( But otherwise fine, clean bill of health, growing apace, etc.
* Crazy busy at work. V stressful.
* House stuff going okay. Got four of five closets painted. Possibly have enough paint for fifth closet. Still lots of unpacking to do. Must deal with the meadow (new nickname for backyard). Grass taller than Isaac, not conducive to learning to walk/run.
* Isaac's birthday party last Saturday. Much fun had by all and many great presents received. Ritual eating of baby's first cupcake and baby's almost-first chocolate ice cream were performed. Pictures to come.
* Have waaaaaaaaaaay too much food left over from party. Esp ice cream. Mom bought three half-gallons. Have one unopened half-gallon left and two half-full half-gallons. Will be eating ice cream for dinner for weeks. Local LJers invited to come over any time and partake.
* First mortgage bill due July 1st. Have just barely enough in checking to pay morgage bill + next week's daycare bill. Subsequently, will be v. poor. Can't afford groceries. Good thing we have ice cream.
