monday, etc.
Apr. 19th, 2004 03:42 pmWow, I had a super-eventful weekend. I need a vacation just to recover from my weekend! And this week is going to be eventful too, what with all kinds of relatives arriving for grandma's party, and then the party itself which is on Saturday, and then on Sunday we're having another party for my brother
metafrantic and his new wife
sandykidd. Whew.
Anyway, the weekend. The Red Sox game kicked ASS; it was so much fun. Yay. Then on Saturday we had our chorus's all-day retreat rehearsal, to which I had to take Isaac because I hadn't been able to find babysitting. I was very worried that he would fuss the whole time, but he was GREAT! He was entranced by the singing (and by the antics of our conductor) and he hardly fussed at all during the rehearsing. He sat on my lap, and every time I started to sing he would reach up and touch my mouth and laugh. It was so cute. :) When we broke for lunch, everyone had to come over and tell me how cute and well-behaved and great he is. :) Later, we went to mom's place and to our delight, both Isaac and grandma took a nap at the same time, which meant mom and I could nap too. Yay!
Then we did, uh, other stuff the rest of the weekend. But mostly I'm still amazed by how good Isaac was at the rehearsal. I was so pleased! I really think he likes music and that makes me so happy. I do try to play classical music for him as much as possible.
I think Isaac is teething again, or else his existing two teeth are bothering him, but he's been pretty good-tempered. Actually, the last few days he has been even more smiley and laugh-y than usual! It's so funny, he'll randomly start laughing for no apparent reason. I just love that he is such a happy little guy (most of the time). Yay!
