Me: OK, that's a plan.
Mom: So, I'm going to give you a check for thirty thousand dollars tomorrow.
Me: Um, wow, okay. [pause] That's not something I hear from you very often.
Mom: No.
Me: Wow.
Mom: And I think you should cash it soon.
Me: Um, yeah.

(It's for the buying of the house. And I knew it was coming, but, dude.)
