mamajoanI know there are some, perhaps a lot, of you out there who are sick and tired of my damn chocolate updates already. ;) To you, I say: Sorry. Please scroll onward. ;)
As previously reported, the chocolates did arrive yesterday. Despite my having written yesterday that the receptionist here at work didn't know what the package contained, it turns out that all she would have had to do in order to ascertain its contents was ... read the side of the box. Yes, it says "Chocolates" in big friendly letters.
More to the point, though, it also says "perishable," and so she put it in the fridge. How sweet! So I gave her one as thanks. (One of the ones I don't like. ;) )
The chocolates are a bit the worse for wear; on a couple of them, the outer shell has cracked and shattered. But they still taste fantastic. See, this is why I wanted Dan's Chocolates in the first time: they are just unbelievably yummy. Damn that Dan!
Anyway, no reply yet to my complaint email, so we'll just wait and see what happens next. Meanwhile, of course, I'm eating the chocolates. Well duh! :)
