politics, music, baby sleep issues
Mar. 2nd, 2004 10:43 amHmf, why has no one responded to my post from yesterday and the adorable new baby pix that I posted?? I mean, why do y'all read my LJ anyway, if not for the cute baby pix? Cuz I know it ain't for the insightful political commentary, that's for sure. Not when we have
plaidder for that.
Speaking of which, though, if you live in a primary state, go vote today! Vote for Howard Dean! No, really. I did, and so should you.
Last night was my first chorus rehearsal of the spring season. (There was one last week but I skipped it on account of evil evil stomach flu.) It was, hmm, well, apparently I'm going to have to do more work for this Mozart Requiem than I had anticipated. I didn't realize that the differences between the Sussmeyr completion and the Levin completion were so extensive. Whee! It's going to be an interesting concert and rehearsal cycle.
Meanwhile, the guy who took over the chorus website while I was on maternity leave continues to be noncommittal about whether he wants me to take it back. I still want to mock up a redesign of the site, in my copious spare time. It definitely needs work. People are always emailing to ask questions that are answered on the site, so obviously the site design isn't working. My eternal quest for the perfect site design continues.
Isaac had much difficulty going to sleep with his rehearsal-night babysitter, Sally. Which is to say that he didn't sleep at all, so he was totally worn out by the time we got home. :( I don't think it was really about Sally, at least not entirely. It has just been a while since he saw her and the whole mommy going away for Monday night thing isn't familiar any more. We have a four-week rehearsal hiatus but I think we'll try to get Sally to watch him once or twice during that time, so he can get used to her again.
Oh, so much more to type, but that'll do for now.

Date: 2004-03-02 08:58 am (UTC)I'm in vacation hell. Which means that it's not really a vacation. Here I am at work again--that's a vacation. I have 2 hours to think about next tri. Me, a workaholic?
