one cute and one sucky
Feb. 12th, 2004 06:11 pmOne cute thing: some guy is on a campaign to confuse his mom by getting people from all over the world to send her a random object each month: a postcard, a bottle cap, a business card.

Well, I think it's cute. :) Obviously this guy has too much free time on his hands, but still, in a weird way it shows that he loves his mom.
One sucky thing: the government laying down some really stupid rules about what TV shows can and can't be closed-captioned. I mean, WTF??? Doesn't Dubya get enough kicks from trampling civil rights and killing hundreds of brown-skinned children? Now he has to deny deaf people access to Scooby-Doo as well?? Grr, this makes me so mad. *steam*

Date: 2004-02-12 09:06 pm (UTC)I don't know about Isaac, but Nate makes SO much noise, just in his daily life, playing and whatnot, I can't watch TV without captions anymore. It's so much better than having to shush him all the time, and plus, there's usually enough of a delay that I can look up and read a line I didn't quite hear the first time, especially if I was paying attention to Nate instead of the TV.
What on earth will I do without captions on the Simpsons?
