For one, it seems highly likely that my friend B. and I will be putting in an offer on a house today!! *runs around tearing out hair*

For another, my website is down :P which is annoying and I have, of course, an email in to the hosting folks. Doesn't it seem odd that I can still get my email even when the website is down? Or am I making too many assumptions...?

In other news, I'm thinking of adding a fourth day of daycare for Isaac. My current arrangements aren't ideal because a) they depend on [livejournal.com profile] anotherjen for half of Monday and if her daughter is sick, as has happened two Mondays in a row now, I have to find other arrangements*; and b) they include an entire day each week when I'm supposedly "working from" and caring for Isaac at the same time, but it's stressful because I feel torn -- if I spend too much time playing with Isaac I feel guilty that I should be working, and of course vice versa.
* not that this is anyone's fault or anything; shit happens. Or in this case, vomit.

And it turns out that adding another day of daycare per week would cost me another $47, which isn't much more than I've been paying Jen, and it's probably worth it for the reduced hassle. Overall Mondays are stressful for all concerned, I think, because of all the running around to deliver Isaac to various places, plus the fact that he doesn't see me all day, unlike daycare days when I usually visit him at lunchtime.

But nothing is decided yet on that front.

In still other news, I finally got around to calling my Massachusetts elected officials to tell them that I support gay marriage, dammit. The folks answering the phones said they are getting a LOT of calls on this issue, not surprisingly! The state legislature is supposed to meet on Wednesday to discuss a proposed amendment to the state Constitution, which would define marriage as between a man and a woman, blah blah homophobic-cakes. Both my state Senator and state Representative are already planning to vote against this, but it's still important to call! So that's my civic duty for the day, done. Woo.

Now to see what I can do about my little guy's hiccups. :)

Ha! I went to your site and your images loaded and everything. Mine don't on one of my sites, and haven't for days. My hatred is nearly complete.

P.S.

Well done! Our leaders always like to know that they are following us. I feel embarassed that all we've got done here lately is a law allowing same-sex couples to adopt children. (Hope you have that in Boston already. Who knows, Isaac may need it one day.)

Yep, we have that. My friend's sister and her gf just finished doing that with their baby (born last August) and it sounds like it went pretty smoothly.
