Soooo tired. Maybe I shouldn't have stayed up so late last night, eh? Also last night's commute home was stressful (sleet, traffic), which always wears me out.

On the plus side, my boob feels much better. Gotta keep an eye on it (metaphorically), because mastitis would just NOT fit into my busy schedule these days.

On the minus side, still no news on grandma's illness (i.e., whether it's pneumonia or just a cold or something else). She keeps pulling out her IV so the antibiotics aren't doing her any good. :(

On the potentially-insane side, I'm thinking of starting Baby Signing with Isaac. I know a couple of folks on my flist are into it (sydb42?) and am wondering whether maybe I should sign up for a Yahoo Group (I'm sure there is one). Just what I need, another Yahoo Group! ;)

Here's me and mom the other night as I was preparing to leave her place:
Me: OK, I think I have everything.
Mom: You need to take some of the chocolate that's in the pantry.
Me: Um, okay. (looks, finds three bags of Xmas chocolate - Reese's big, Reese's little, and Rolo) Uh, I'm going to open them and take some of each, okay?
Mom: (laughs) Sure.

Here's me and mom the following day:
Me: (finds shirt on table) Aha, I forgot this shirt yesterday. I'll take it now. (picks up shirt, finds bags of chocolate underneath) What's this?
Mom: Oh yeah. You're taking that now too.
Me: What, the rest of the chocolate?
Mom: Yes. Take it all. Take it now.
Me: Um, okay.

Who am I to argue with chocolate?

A few things:

a) I am amused that I know mastitis through James Herriot, and am able to figure out what it means in human terms from that, before looking at the roots and figuring it out that way.

b) My first throught on "baby signing" was something along the lines of "What ... like ... Verisign? How do you digitially sign a baby?" and then progressed through autographs before I finally arrived at sign language.

c) Mmm, chocolate.

i hear ya there, i tend not to get much done when i'm keeping a literal eye on my boob. can't see what i'm doing...it's just bad.
