So my brother has an LJ, [livejournal.com profile] metafrantic. He didn't mention this when we spoke yesterday. Hmf!

I finally go through all the angst and dithering, select a daycare near my office and get Isaac settled into it ... and now they're talking about moving our company to another office in another town. Argh! er, I mean hmf!

I ordered my Firefly DVD set. yay!

A friend emailed to say that he has Hanukah gifts for me and Isaac. Both hmf and yay! (hmf because I don't have a gift for him and he always gives me great gifts and I feel inadequate)

Our chorus concert was yesterday. It went quite well (yay!) although the weather was terrible and probably the cause of our fairly small audience (hmf!). I didn't find someone to watch Isaac until the very last minute -- called some friends of my mom's, and it turned out they were coming to the concert anyway, so they held Isaac for the first half (he slept - yay!) and then my coworker and his wife, whom I hadn't been able to get on the phone, miraculously showed up and took Isaac for the second half. Super-big yay!!

But now I feel anxious because I really want to get these people really nice gifts to thank them, but I suck at thinking of good gifts for people. :( er, I mean hmf!

Our conductor stopped the concert in the middle of "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth" because a child in the audience was talking/crying and the parent was not removing the child (major Hmf). When William (conductor) turned around to address the audience -- I couldn't hear his exact words but he apologized for stopping and requested that the child be removed -- someone in the audience said something back, which I also couldn't hear, but later another chorus member said that it was along the lines of "Yeah, it's been disrupting the entire concert." Yikes. er, I mean hmf.

Insert rant here about people bringing children to non-age-appropriate events and not removing them when necessary.

After the concert, it was snowing like crazy and we got completely soaked (hmf) en route to the post-concert party (yay) where there was lots of great food (yay) but by the time we got home we were soooo tired and cold and wet and tired and tired and did I mention tired? And my whole body ached and my voice was almost gone. Oy. But it was great anyway. I never get tired of singing the Messiah. Yay.

Hmf indeed

So I didn't tell you about my lj account because 1) I'd only had it a day and 2) I hadn't even thought about it until a few minutes ago when my sweetie sandykidd told me about your comment. So hmf!

And I just want to throw in a comment about William... he's a riot! ROtFL! And I concur with the whole innapropriate baby thing. Er, baby noise thing, that is... yeah, that's the ticket...
