So the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled that gay couples have the right to get married under the state's constitution. Yay! It still doesn't necessarily mean that gay people are going to start getting married here -- the court ordered the state legislature to do something about it within the next six months, so there's still a lot of legal and political wrangling to get through -- but it's a GREAT first step. I'm so pleased. I would be so excited to live in the first US state to actually legalize gay marriage! :)
In other news, today is my second day at the office without the baby. I'm more nervous today than I was the first time! But that's for various reasons not worth going into at this point. Anyway, I'm sure it will be fine. Isaac is becoming an easier to handle and more cheerful baby every day. I especially love it when he giggles. Who am I kidding, I love everything he does! :)
I missed the lunar eclipse two weekends ago. :( Earlier that evening I had remembered and said to myself, "I gotta go out in a couple hours and look for it," but then what with the baby and everything, it totally slipped my mind. But, there's a solar eclipse this coming Sunday (11/23) which I shall certainly endeavor to remember.
