My heartfelt sympathies to blunaris, plaidder, and any other Cubs fans out there. (Especially Steve Bartman, who shouldn't but probably will take the blame for the rest of his life.)
I have an ulcer just *thinking* about tonight's Sox/Yankees game. *bites fingernails*
Let me tell you about sitting through a LCS game 7:
My stomach roiled, every muscle in my neck and shoulders were stiffer than steel, and my eyes were dry because I couldn't even *blink.*
I've got all of my leftover baseball energy channelled toward the Sox tonight! But just in case? Let me assure you that the sun will, indeed, rise on Friday.
That game was the last time I watched baseball. I'd like to say it was because I was traumatized, but really it's because I hate baseball except when it's interesting for reasons other than the stupendous boredom of watching players scratch themselves and play Johnny-woops all over their bodies.
