Speaking of things that are silly, this:


I got this -- well, actually Isaac got it -- in the mail from the people at WGBH. It was their way of thanking me for the email that I sent them, where I wrote about how I went into labor while staffing the phones at their auction and how much fun the auction was and how nice their staff were to me.

OK, so yeah, I think Teletubbies are awful and all, but still, it was a nice gesture. :) And the lady in charge of the auction wrote such a nice note thanking me for my email and saying how much they all enjoyed reading it. So it was sweet. I held the teletubby up in front of Isaac and he stared at it for quite some time, following it with his eyes when I moved it around. Then he started to cry, showing that he, like me, appreciates the gesture while still disdaining Teletubby culture. ;)

(p.s. that photo is from Amazon -- the actual one that we got is a beanie baby and does not talk. But it looks exactly like the photo.)
