I like this meme; it's lit'rary, you know? :) You take the previous person's list of ten authors she has on her shelves, remove the ones you don't have, and add some that you do have to make the list total ten

I've seen Jane Austen on these lists so many times it's laughable (but in a good way). I just finished rereading Pride and Prejudice last week and was trying to decide today between reading Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey. Is either worth pursuing? One more than the other?

Presumably Jane Austen is on all the lists because everyone who answers it has one or more of her books, so she never gets taken off the list.

Both Northanger Abbey and Mansfield Park are good, but in different ways. Northanger Abbey is mostly just fun; Mansfield Park is more serious and angsty, plus there's debate over whether Jane Austen actually paired up the right couples. It depends on what you want. Personally, I recommend reading both.

Honestly? All I have is Sense and Sensibility and I never actually finished it. The meme just said authors you HAVE, not authors you like. ;)
