afternoon misc
Jun. 6th, 2003 04:56 pmI just posted in
grammarpolice about the spam I keep getting with subject line "Earn 50 An Hour." Every time I see it I think to myself, "um, fifty WHAT??" I sounded all irked in my grammarpolice post, but mostly it just amuses me. It would be funny if some moron answered the spam and took the "job" (whatever it is) and then was horrified to learn that the actual payment is fifty CENTS per hour. Or fifty donkeys, or something. Hee hee. :)
I'm very sad about the damage to Drew Barrymore's ass. Snif. It is a beautiful ass and I hope it recovers quickly and thoroughly. I'd be willing to try to kiss it better. Or massage it, or rubchocolate sauceointment into it, or whatever. Anything I can do to help! :)
buggery is back ... sort of ... and has issued a very interesting fic challenge. You basically have to pair up two characters, from different fandoms, who have the same name. (The example he gives, perhaps the most obvious one to many of us, is Lex from "Smallville" with Xander from "Buffy." They're both named Alexander.) I may ponder it at length. You know what would be really funny, because it has always confused me, would be to slash Marcus from "Days of Our Lives" with Marcus from "Babylon 5." What's that you say? You don't remember a character on DOOL named Marcus? Well, he was played by Richard Biggs, you see. The same guy who played Dr. Franklin on B5. And since Franklin/Marcus is such a popular pairing in B5 fandom ... are you getting it? Get it? Get it? Well, *I* think it would be funny. *pout*
Hell, even if I don't end up writing anything for Jack's challenge, just thinking up the pairings is fun enough. :) Wesley Wyndam-Pryce/Wesley Crusher, anyone? ;) Mwahahaha! I am evil!
What would a sesame bagel with Nutella be like? *ponder* Perhaps I'll try it for breakfast tomorrow.

Date: 2003-06-06 07:10 pm (UTC)Well, toasted, they're pretty good, but with the Nutella melting, as it should, these bagels don't have a very good shape for keeping the topping on (it's the hold in the middle), so watch out for spills.
