okay, I'm here, can I go now?
Jun. 6th, 2003 11:30 amUrgh. It's been one of THOSE days. You know, the kind where you've been in the office all of about five minutes before people start coming at you with a half-dozen different absolutely urgent tasks. *sigh* Can I go home now?
It was all the worse because I was particularly hungry this morning. Lucky for me I stopped off to get a bagel egg-n-cheese sandwich rather than just scrounge in the kitchen for something breakfasty. I would have been even MORE bitchy to coworkers if I hadn't had all that lovely carbohydrate and fat and cholesterol to scarf down in between urgent requests. Grump.
In other news, I'm quite interested by this new study which found that women carrying baby boys eat more calories than women carrying girls, but don't gain more weight. (Statistically, boy babies weigh more at birth than girls.) This doesn't tell me anything about my baby, since I have no idea how many calories I'm eating, but it's interesting.
I slept a bit better last night, although I did have the hip pain. I removed one of the blankets from my bed in anticipation of today (it's supposed to be 80F) and I think that actually helped me sleep better. I also had several pregnancy-related dreams. In one of them, I had just given birth to a girl and I insisted that my mom take me to where the nurse was cleaning her up and all that. My mom was trying to get me to go back to bed, but I was all, "wait, you didn't tell me how much she weighs," and the nurse said that the baby weighed 9 pounds 8 ounces, and I was all, "that can't be right, it didn't hurt nearly enough for a 9-and-a-half pounder." LOL. I think my subconscious has some strange ideas about stuff. ;)
TGIfreakin'F already. Oy.
