Some nice evil nice person left a box of Dunkin' Donuts in the kitchen. I snagged a chocolate frosted. Mmm, donuts. And just when I was thinking to myself, "self, what I really need right now is something chocolatey and full of cholesterol and fat and starch." Kismet!

Apparently I'm going to see X2 tonight with jenwrites and others. I wasn't necessarily desperate to see it on opening night, but I did want to go, especially now that I'm starting to see some rave reviews from y'all. (The Boston Globe hated it, but who listens to them anyway. ;) ) Apparently, from what I gather from y'all's comments, Hugh Jackman is hot, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are cool, and Halle Berry is not horribly annoying. Which is really about all I ask of a movie. ;)

Hmm, if I'm going straight from work to a movie, I better have caffeine. Maybe I'll have a cup of English Breakfast with my donut. Whee. :)

In other random cool news, apparently Boston's smoking ban officially takes effect on Monday, outlawing smoking in all bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Hooray! This means I can start going to weekly team trivia again! *happy dance*

we've got the same smoking ban here. for the first year or so, people were being busted for smoking anywhere outside their homes or cars. then all the slacking happened, so now people just stand outside the buildings they still can't smoke in and puff away next to the signs that say "no smoking, city of mesa ordinance..." which means that we're safer inside than we used to be, but we still can't hang out in doorways for fear of our lives. LOL, i am such a snob about my lungs!

your bro got to see x2 last night--special screening for theater employees, you know. he was thrilled, said that they did a FAR better job with x2 than x1, and that they managed to give characters OTHER THAN WOLVERINE some screen time in this one. plus, yah, jackman is hot, and so is stewart, for that matter. *grin* -sk
