another day

Well, the Sudafed, once I finally located it, did the trick. Cleared my sinuses right up and I slept like a log. Isaac seems to have slept pretty well too; he was quite cheery this morning. We even got up and out half an hour earlier than usual, yay.

Now I'm at the office and debating whether to take another Sudafed. Pro: would clear me up, and if I want to do it, best to do it early enough that it'll have worn off by the time I have to drive home. Cuz it does make me kind of drowsy/dopey. Con: being drowsy/dopey at the office. Hmm.

In other news, we're supposed to get another 6 to 12 inches of snow tomorrow. SIGH. Good thing we've had several days in a row of temps in the 40s (F), so a lot, though certainly not all, of the snow from the monster storm has melted. Stupid winter.

dreams

Last night I dreamt that I had Eliza Dushku's AOL screenname and we were IMing. She seemed to know me but not too well. It was one of those IM conversations where one person blathers on a lot about her life (Eliza) while the other person is doing other things and interjecting the occasional "uh-huh" or "really? wow!" (me). At one point she mentioned that she had seen my "work" (i.e. that I had acted in something on TV) and I was like, what is she talking about? Then I started telling her that I needed to keep a close eye on my grandma while she was with my brother, because grandma has dementia (true). But the dream-brother was actually Isaac. Then he turned into my actual brother, and Eliza showed up for real and we chatted, then she left and my brother and I had a mini-argument over whether Eliza is hot. (Duh!) Alas, I didn't have the opportunity to get naked with Eliza ... snif.

I imagine that dream was probably triggered by my learning yesterday that Eliza is going to be on "That 70s Show" in the near future. Yay! Hmm, first Seth Green, then Alyson Hanigan, now Eliza -- "That 70s Show" is really turning into a guest-role haven for former BTVS actors, isn't it?

I also had a bizarre dream where I was in my apartment and noticed someone else walking around, and it was another me. I was all annoyed at her and telling her to go away, but she was like, "I can't, I'm baking cookies." Then some other stuff happened that's hard to describe but it involved a thunderstorm where everything outside suddenly turned dark and the wind was whipping stuff around, and it was creepy like a horror movie. I'm sure this says something deep, or at least deeply embarrassing, about my psyche....

Now they're saying we'll get mostly rain tomorrow, with maybe 2-4 inches of snow. This is much better than the 6-12 inches they were saying this morning. Yay. (Of course, now the odds are good that we'll get two feet, but eh... ;) )

In other happy news, congratulations to shelbecat and her gf on the birth of their kitten, I mean daughter! Yay for babies!
