Jul. 16th, 2004 11:45 amWow, did you notice how many posts I've made recently that had nothing to do with Isaac? I better rectify that. ;)
Isaac is doing very well. He crawls faster every day. My mom babysat him yesterday and was of course pretty impressed by how well he gets around -- he really has changed in the two weeks she was away. His latest thing is combing his hair; he likes to grab my comb and put it up to his head and make combing gestures. He has also -- and I shouldn't even post this, it's in the "someday I will be paying for therapy" category -- discovered his penis. He likes to play with it while he's in the bathtub, and when he's getting his diaper changed he gets annoyed that I push his hand away so I can put on the new diaper. ;)
His sleeping habits have been ALL over the map lately, which has been frustrating. I have hopes that it's starting to calm down though. He is sleeping longer stretches now, even when he's in my bed with me, which is nice. His top left tooth is definitely in (or out? Visible) and the right one is coming along -- this morning I thought it might have finally popped but I couldn't get a good look. He chews pretty well even without them, though!
He enjoys a pretty wide variety of foods now. He LOVES mac 'n cheese and will yell at me if I'm putting a bite of it in my mouth and his tray is empty. ;) He's also slowly getting the hang of drinking from a straw. He has been eating a lot lately so I'm expecting a growth spurt. In other baby news, my friend M just found out that her sister is pregnant, and she is SO excited. It's so cute! :)
