the good, the bad, the ugly
Feb. 18th, 2004 05:19 pmThe good: My state tax refund appeared in my bank account today. Wow, that was fast! How much do I LOVE direct deposit??
The bad: Got a notice from my student loans - a "corrected" tax form showing (if I read it correctly) that I actually paid them less interest during 2003 than they had previously claimed. Which may mean I have to file corrected income tax returns and give back some of my beautiful refund. Snif.
The ugly: Will be tomorrow morning when I have to leave the house almost two hours earlier than usual. *groan* We're having our home inspection done, starting at 8am, and in order to be there on time, I'll have to leave at about 6:45 to get Isaac to daycare and then get my ass over to the house. *whine* And don't come around telling me how you're up and out at 6:45 *every* morning, okay? Cuz I am not usually up and out until 8:30, and even that is an hour earlier than I've been used to for the past six years or so. It's not about absolute, it's all about relative time.
In other news, I'm annoyed because I realized that in Monday night's common-cold-induced stupor I accidentally threw out some perfectly good leftover lo mein that I had been looking forward to eating for lunch on Tuesday. :(
On the bright side, at least I still have ice cream. Life is all about balance. I am one with the ice cream. (But not, alas, the lo mein.)
