A lot of interesting and thought-provoking stuff is being said on LJ today about the upcoming war. In particular I'm going to link to this post by kamuela and this post by jacquez.

BTW, a big "woohoo!" to the presence on livejournal, at long last, of plaidder! I'm sure she will be posting plenty of pithiness about war in the coming days.

In non-war-related news, I'm amused to relate that chickpea reacts very strongly to my eating spicy food. Last Friday when my mom took me out for Indian food for my birthday, and again yesterday when I heated up the leftovers from same, chickpea started kicking like mad a few minutes after I started eating it. Hee hee. Also, yesterday I felt a new sensation that I can only describe as chickpea turning around from one position to another. I say "can only describe as" because I can't say what it actually felt like, just what I surmise caused it. If that makes any sense. I can see my tummy moving when chickpea kicks now, even *without* pulling down my pants.

I ordered a prenatal yoga video online. There are a lot of 'em! I picked one that had been recommended by someone on pregnantwomen and that had like 20 reviews on Amazon, all giving it five stars. Also, we have a prenatal checkup tomorrow -- 22 weeks and counting. As usual I'm eager to find out how much weight we've gained. :)

And in completely unrelated news, have you noticed that they've made some nice little changes in honor of LJ's birthday? (Happy 4th birthday, LJ!) URLs are easier now -- instead of "livejournal.com/talkread.bml?itemid=234354" or "talkpost.bml", it's "livejournal.com/users/[username]/234354.html" -- in other words, the username is included in the URL now. And the title bar of an entry page is now username plus the entry's subject line, instead of "Read comments." Very cool.

Also, go to LJ's main page and hover your mouse over the birthday image of Frank the goat. Hee hee! :)

This is why you should never apologize for random posts. I *love* Frank the goat (yesterday he was green for St. Patrick's Day), but I would have totally missed the fact that Frank was making a wish if it hadn't been for your post. *g*
