mamajoanI forgot something fairly important that I wanted to say about the past two Buffy eps! The whole backstory about Principal Wood and his mother bears a really frightening resemblance to a lengthy epic I was writing for a while, where by writing I mean spending a LOT of time plotting and planning out, and very little time actually writing it because I feared it would turn egregiously Mary Sue. But it did involve Nikki, Spike, a slayer having a child, and that child later coming back to meet up with Buffy and Spike and the rest. Many of the details were significantly different, but still, it quite freaked me to see that play out. Brr.
In other fluffy news, I must report a sighting in the Connecticut deli where mom and I stopped for lunch on our way back from the NYC demo last Sunday. We were having a lot of fun with the people-watching anyway, and then these two guys came in and sat down near us. I'm convinced they were on a date, but anyway, the one who sat down facing me was super-hot. I was trying not to stare, really I was, but it seemed like every time I looked at him, he happened to look up and saw me looking. *blush* I was trying to figure out which super-hot actor he reminded me of. He was sort of a cross between Lani Tupu (Crais on "Farscape"), Alexander Siddig of "DS9," and the late lamented Kevin Smith (the one who played Ares on "Herc"/"Xena," not the one who directed "Clerks").
Anyway, to sum up, he was hot but probably gay, and, uh, that's all I have to say about that.
Speaking of people who are hot, I think they turned up the thermostat in my office. Either that, or the pregnancy overheatedness that everyone talks about has kicked in very suddenly. I'm broiling. *fans self* Is it summer yet?
In still other fluffy news, I'm super-excited because mom and I got tickets to Red Sox Opening Day!! woohoo! The game's at 2pm, which means I'll have to take the day off, so there goes my vow to not take any vacation days between now and D-Day. But that's okay, it'll be worth it, cuz, Opening Day!! *bounce*
