mamajoanThe heat was off in my chiropractor's building again this morning, the second time in the past few weeks. Luckily it was a much less cold day outside, so it wasn't as frigid as it was the last time. She turned her space-heater to full blast and it was pretty much okay.
I think her adjustments woke up chickpea, though, because I started feeling all sorts of things while she was working on me. It was pretty uncomfortable lying on my stomach; next time I'll have to ask her either to adjust me while I'm on my back, or see whether it's true that her table has a bit that lets down (as she claims it does but says she's never actually tried it).
Either chickpea calmed down when I got off the table, or I just couldn't feel it as strongly once I wasn't lying on my stomach any more.
It's snowing like crazy out there and half the office has called in sick or to say that they're working from home. I really got get my stuff set up to work from home too so I don't have to drive when the weather is this bad. I wouldn't mind driving in the snow so much, except for that my car is pretty bad at it. It's especially bad when turning and when starting up from a full stop (e.g. at a light). It slips and slides around a lot on the slippery road. I always wonder whether I should shell out for snow tires or something. Sigh.
Anyway, the point was that it's very quiet here at the office and I expect it'll be a pretty uneventful day. Of course, by saying that I've probably doomed myself to having something really *interesting* happen (in the Chinese-curse sense). ;)
