I'm so mad. Three days before I leave for what could be the most interesting/exciting vacation of my life, and my digital camera decides to die on me. :(

And I just spent almost $100 on two new Compact Flash cards, thanks to this asshole on eBay (long story). Now it looks like I'm going to have to buy a whole new camera, and it's hard to find ones that still use Flash cards. Not to mention I can't really afford to be spending even more money right now. It's bad enough trying not to think about how much I've already spent on this trip, not to mention how much I'm going to spend while I'm there!! :( I'm supposed to be saving money, dammit!

OK, so I'm crying now. I know it's dumb, it's not like anyone died or anything, but I'm already tired and stressed and this was just one more thing I didn't need in my life.

My mom says, well, at least it happened before we leave and not while we're on the trip, and I know she's right, but that doesn't help any.

Sigh. I'm gonna go sulk now.

*hugs* I'd cry too, it's frustrating as hell when all these things jump up on you when you're trying so hard to just get ready and go. And stick to a budget on top of all that! Hopefully you'll feel better and find a not-too-painful solution.

uh, in the next 24 hours, most of which is Saturday? No.

And anyway, it's one of those things where it would cost almost as much to fix it as to buy a new one, and when you consider that I got the camera for $35 and it's several years old, fixing it is just not the smart idea. Insert rant about the disposable-ness of our society here.
