I'd like to see someone run that same survey in the USA. I bet the results would be a bit different. ;)

(I'm especially interested in the part where straight men say they've gone to gay clubs to meet single women. Um, wouldn't all the women they met there be lesbians??? *scratch head*)
Edit: OK, my sarcasm was too subtle. ;) I know straight women go to gay bars, but generally they go there to *avoid* being hit on by men, was my point!)

Not necessarily. In fact, probably not. I have several female friends and acquaintances--straight ones--who love hanging out at men's gay bars because it's a "safe" environment. In fact, I've been laughed at because I've never been to a men's gay bar. (shrug) But then, I hate bars in general, so there's been little appeal.

I'm with you on hating bars in general. But (see edit to original post) I know that straight women go to gay bars! I just question the wisdom of straight men thinking of gay (male) bars as places to meet chicks.

Ah, the UK. So much more highly evolved than we are. And I assume that by gay bar they mean gay bar, not queer bar or lesbian bar, so the guys are there to pick up fag hags (and I use that term with love).
