...and because I've had some trouble lining up beta-readers for my soon-to-be finished Buffy/Angel/SV masterpiece, I've been thinking about starting a website listing specifically for crossover betas.
There are great beta-reader-listing sites out there for individual shows (e.g. the huge listing at the BTVS Writers' Guild, and the SV listing at
taraljc's site), but I haven't found any for crossovers.
Of course, because I'm a geek, I've been pondering how I could do the listing in javascript and not have to maintain a database. It would have to keep track of all the fandoms each person knows, and cross-reference them based on what the user is searching on. I think it could be done with arrays! Or maybe I'm just insane. But hey, another thing to play with in my copious spare time. It keeps me off the streets.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew! Javascript is eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil. And making it work cross-platform? *ironiclaugh* You'd be pretty much guaranteeing that people like me wouldn't or couldn't use the site.
But then I'm more of a database geek anyway, so I'm biased. *g*
