The eyes have it

I went to the eye doctor and had my eyes dilated. First time I've ever had this particular test and it sure is weird. With my glasses on now, everything is blurry and gets clearer when I take them off, which of course is the opposite of how things usually work! When the doctor asked if I had sunglasses with me, I said yes, but it didn't occur to me to say that they are prescription. Non-prescription sunglasses might have been better. Oh well. On the plus side, no eye problems, and the doctor claims that I have actually gotten slightly less nearsighted than I used to be! I didn't even know that was possible.

The kids were suitably impressed with my enormous pupils, pronouncing them "super creepy." :)

It's been happening to me too! I'd gone 5+ years without a check, but I'd expected that I would have got more nearsighted.

Apparently it's a sign of aging.
